Meet with Your Photographer in Advance
Before your baby arrives, we will schedule a Design Consultation to meet in person at my professional studio. During your consultation, we will discuss everything you need to know to prepare for your newborn session — what to expect, what to bring, and creative ideas for your portraits. We will go over wardrobe, props, colors, and style to ensure every detail is thoughtfully planned. This preparation helps you feel confident and relaxed, making your photo session a fun and stress-free success!
What to Wear for Newborn Session and Coordinate Family Outfits
I’ll help you coordinate outfits for the whole family! My clients receive exclusive access to an interactive style guide that makes clothing coordination easy. I always recommend starting with pieces from your own closet, but if you need inspiration, this tool provides curated ideas. During your consultation, I’ll guide you on colors, styling, and strategies to ensure your family portraits are cohesive, polished, and stress-free.
Professional Hair and Make-Up
What sets me apart from other newborn photography studios is my focus on pampering new moms. All of my newborn clients’ moms receive complimentary professional hair and makeup from my talented stylist right in my studio, creating a truly relaxing and indulgent experience. You’ll leave feeling confident, refreshed, and looking absolutely amazing—just as special as your little one!
What to Bring for Your Newborn Session
During your design consultation, we’ll review everything you might want to bring for your newborn session. The key items to remember are any heirlooms you’d like to include and something to feed your baby, whether you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding. Don’t worry if you forget anything—we’re fully prepared! Our studio is stocked with diapers, wipes, breast pads, a bottle warmer, fridge, bobby pins, hair spray, snacks, refreshments, and toys for siblings. We’ve thought of everything to make your session comfortable, smooth, and enjoyable.
My goal is to prepare you ahead of time so you feel relaxed and confident, then take care of all the details on the day of your session. I want your experience to be effortless, seamless, and stress-free.
