April showers bring may flowers!
I recently planted 50 daffodil bulbs and was rewarded with cheerful yellow daffodils in the Spring on my small farm! Daffodils symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. They typically bloom in early spring, often among the first flowers to emerge after the winter frost, signaling the arrival of warmer weather and longer days.
A fun whimsical children’s photo shoot was a fun way to document these April Colorado flowers! Pop of yellow compliments with a robin blue egg background for a unique playful feel!

Gardening Tips on Growing Daffodils in Colorado
I purchase my daffodil bulbs in the Fall and it’s best to plant in before the ground freezes. The goal is to plant them about 6 to 8 weeks before the ground typically freezes. This is approximately in late September to early October, depending on your specific location and altitude within Colorado. Planting daffodil bulbs in the fall allows them to establish their root systems before winter sets in, ensuring they’ll be ready to bloom beautifully when spring arrives.
